Bird and Gun Introduction (2 weeks)

The ideal introduction to the life of a hunting dog. Puppies are socialized with dogs of all experience levels and introduced to water, decoys, gunfire, and bumpers and birds. This program focuses on building the foundational skills every gundog needs and works in conjunction with our Basic Gundog Training Program (The first six weeks of your pup’s residency with us will be billed at $1,500. Thereafter, you will be billed monthly).

Basic Gundog Training Program (4-6 months)

This program establishes core obedience, hunting principles, and commands. Dogs that complete this program are considered “ready to hunt,” demonstrating steadiness to marked retrieves on land and water, with reliable delivery to hand. A great starting point for any retriever!

Seasoned Retriever Training Program (3 months)

As an extension of the Basic Gundog Program, the Seasoned Retriever Training Program is an additional 3 months. Building on the basics, this program introduces advanced techniques to enhance your dog’s ability to respond to commands rather than instinct alone. Hand signals will be part of this curriculum and incorporated to build confidence on blind retrieves as well as boost performance on marked retrieves when your hunting buddy still needs a little assistance.

Finished Retriever Training Program (3 months)

As an extension of the Basic Gundog Program and the Seasoned Training Program, the Finished Retriever Training Program is designed for dogs with advanced abilities. This program takes an additional three months and further refines their training, conditioning, and command obedience. The goal is to develop the ultimate hunting companion capable of performing at the highest level.

Upland Hunting Training (4-6 months)

This program prepares dogs for upland hunting scenarios, whether flushing or pointing. Dogs learn to quarter fields effectively, locate birds, and respond reliably to whistle commands.
